The Temple was built by Kadampa students who are disciples of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.It took four years to complete and was consecrated by Geshe Kelsang in July 1997.
It is the location of annual Spring and Summer Festivals attended by Kadampa Buddhists from all over the world.
Due to its special architecture, based on the mandala of the compassion Buddha Heruka, it is a place of unusual beauty that has profound spiritual meaning.
The Temple is not an ordinary building but as holy object that will be a place of spiritual inspiration and peace for many generations to come.
