Renunciation

Transforming Adverse Conditions - A Weekend Retreat, 2nd - 3rd October 2010

This is an excellent opportunity for some in-depth meditation practice and for taking a break from the busyness of everyday life. You don’t need to have come to the classes to join in and benefit from the retreat.
During these sessions Resident Teacher Kelsang Lam-ma will be leading meditations and teachings on renunciation. Each retreat day consists of four meditation sessions, each session being an hour long. Full guidance will be given by the retreat leader. An opportunity to ask questions and seek advice concerning meditation will be available between sessions.

The event will take place at Maitreya Kadampa Buddhist Centre on the weekend of 2nd - 3rd October 2010, from 9.30am onwards.

Session Times: 10.00 am, 12.00 pm, 3.00 pm and 5.00 pm

Booking Details: The cost is £3.00 per session or £10.00 per whole day. There is no need to book and you can drop in to which ever sessions you wish.

The Eight Auspicious Symbols and Refuge and Bodhisattva Vow

Come and help us celebrate our 5th Birthday, everyone is welcome to drop in, there will be tea, coffee, cake and nibbles on Saturday 4th December, along with teachings on the Eight Auspicious Symbols. On Sunday the 5th December Resident Teacher Kelsang Lam-ma will be granting Refuge and Bodhisattva Vows. The event will take place at Maitreya Kadampa Buddhist Centre on the weekend of 4th and 5th December 2010 from 9.30am onwards.

Saturday 4th December, a free day

10.00am - 11.30am Wishfulfilling Jewel (with Tsog)

12.30pm - 1.30pm Lunch will be provided

2.00pm - 3.00pm Teaching and Meditation

3.00pm - 4.00pm Birthday Tea, with cake

Sunday 5th December, £10 for the day

10.30am - Teaching and Meditation

12.30pm - 2.00pm break

2.30pm - Refuge and Bodhisattva Vow Ceremony
